I'm Sorry...

I'm sorry for hurting your feelings
by not telling you the truth.
I'm sorry for all the lies I told
and the omission lies I never said.
I'm sorry I couldn't love you
as much or more as you loved me.
I'm sorry that I wasted your time
by fabricating the feelings I had.
I'm sorry I didn't pursue hard enough
because I was scared of the results.
I'm sorry I didn't show up that night
even though all you needed was a hug.
I'm sorry for the troubles I caused
to make our friendship dissolve.
I'm sorry I couldn't visit more often
because I don't organize myself better.
I'm sorry for not being strong enough
to protect you from your fears.
I'm sorry for dying so soon
so I can't correct all my mistakes.
